So some days have passed, I guess. Let's recap them for your enjoyment.
Friday: The Aged One. A lovely 40 minutes of how everything is terrible. And I agree it is, but let's try out our happy face when the person who really has no real incentive to come visit you every week comes to visit you every week.
Saturday: Returned system with SSD, was hero. Sean's for game, which became interesting… right before Other Sean and Stan left. Thanks. A good session nonetheless, with me loving the heck out of my portal spell even more. Some zombies were trying to crash through the door to the tower we had just come down. I put a portal on the floor by the door and ran back up the stairs. One of the tower walls was broken so I put the other side of the portal on the outside wall. Zombies bust down door, ZIP ZOP they fall in hole and are ejected out of the castle. See you, suckers. I had just played the "hidden agenda" and "personal stake" card to find out what was going on in the town by myself, when Mizzy played the "mutiny" card and got pseudo-possesed and came after me. Then Other Sean played the WTF card which made the rest of the party wake up and realize we were gone, then come after us. So much for a "hidden" agenda.
Got back, set clocks forward (unlike some people) and went to sleepy time.
Sunday, got up, did some book stuff, figured out how to bring the proper HTML into Scribus to maintain the formatting, and put Book 1 on the kindle so I can make sure the whole thing is formatted right. Also over the weekend/earlier I got up to 40,000 words in book 2, woohoo.
Then went over to do my taxes from last year. Luckily I'm still only down about half what I sent them two years ago, so I'm good for at least part of this year too. I guess making less then last year has advantages. To make up for the stress and general freak outishness that accompanies the "Why is my bank balance so low now I need money or die help me" feeling. So that's a plus?
Then stayed for dinner, for no reason at all Heather came over and there may have been fish and something chocolatey. So a big thanks to family for their everything, you know who you are/what it is.
Today, two jobs. Shopping as usual. I was reading this webcomic, rather ironically found through a "What was the best webcomic of last year" poll I saw, saying "vote for me" and when I got there I was like, "okay, this one is better then your, sorry. Wait, this one is better then that one, wait, this one…" etc. But the winner was one I had never heard of. I started reading it, and it was weird, then got really good, then got kinda bad and I just can't bring myself to read more. Weird. It had a really good story line, and the way the world was presented (like a sort of real life RPG with inventory management and such) was well done, but then it just sort of went off the deep end and never came back. Oh well.
Darkbolt ended. *tear*
Warm-ish out. Should be pretty "nice" the rest of the week too, and by nice I mean above "when is summer going to get here again" temperatures.
Spent almost $50 on a single tank of gas thursday night. Never spent that much on gas, sigh.
My deposit last week was $555 and this weak was $777. I'm not making this up, it's weird.
Been struggling to come up with ideas for book 3, if there's going to be one I'd like to set the stage a little in book 2 like I did for book 2 in book 1. But I don't know- the problem is location. In Buffy, they're in a regular town, so regular town stuff can be contemplated. But in Demongate it's just an island out in the middle of nowhere. How many adventures can you have in a high school? Even a mystical one? I admit to being stumped at the moment for ideas enough to fill two more books. *thinking face*
Four jobs tomorrow, because, why not? One person coming here for their laptop screen replacement. (side note: I probably would have done this sooner, but mail person/ups whoever put in between the screen door and the door, and I didn't see it, probably for days?) One person just down the street. Another person just down the street. One person not that far away. So it won't be too bad, I guess. Still, I will miss the traditional car inspection day, but I'm nothing if not flexible.
(side note: I am not flexible at all. Ask anyone.)
That catches you up. Are we enjoying March? We're almost half way through it already, just so you know. Enjoy your Tuesday, or whatever.
