Came to a realization too. Given that what I thought the number of chapters to rescue Dean's parents would take versus what actually happened, I decided to end the book with the rescue, and make the second book all the rest of the stuff. It's up to 79,326 words, more then the first Harry Potter book, so I've got to wrap it up soon. I'm in the first maybe third of the battle scene, which is going well for our heroes, despite the even number of opponents they're facing. They've taken out one and seriously wounded another, so the rest should go well for them. Of course this means book 2 will be The Unveiled World, so I need a new title for book 1 now. So far I'm thinking:
Training Wheels
Lost and Found
Due Process
but I'll have to think some more about it.
So that's what I did most of Saturday and Sunday. Sean went to Canada with Whitney to look for Transformers, so no game. We did a little Gears of War 3 though.
Today was fine. Shopping as normal. Having finished the 7 series of Buffy I was glad to see the 8th series, the comics, on the self at the library, so I got the first two out. Set up a printer first thing, then dropped off the CD I made at the mortgage place, then picked up a laptop for the lawyer guy. Home to eat, then down the street to set up a new dell. All went fine. Back here, cleaned out the laptop, then more writing.
Didn't expect to hear from Sean, he said nothing until thursday, but we did some firefight anyway in Reach. Fine with me.
Tomorrow I'm meeting a lady to get her laptop in My Buddy Bruce's apartment parking lot, because she lives wayyyy far away and was going to be on South Ave anyway so I said, "I know a place we can meet!" Due to a twist of fate, I get to wait around for like an hour so I can get his ink cartridge to take back, because it's printing like crap. I hate you, Bruce. Gonna be so fun.
Then get the laptop back, come back here.
Oh, Dad came over Friday to watch the Dr Who, an interesting one, but not great. Grandma was the same, as always.
