Shopping as normal, got ingredients for mint chocolate chip ice cream as this weeks after dinner delight. Got my free take-5 game I won off the ticket the Great Pumpkin gave me. (which I forgot to do, so I had to go back into the store after I left. But I was still in the parking lot and everything, so no big deal.) Library. I'll need to change my oil in like a week or two so I figured, my battery isn't that bad, I'll just get it at that time. So I'm almost ready to go home, got gas, and when I started it up at the station it was like "uh. Uh." and I was like, "uh, no?" And it was like "uh. Vroom!" And I was like "maybe I'll go back for that battery after all."
So that was a hundred dollars. Then off to my first, and that is to say my only, appointment for the day, which was totally unnecessary because some idiot can't read a receipt properly. I bought them a router at staples about three weeks ago, and they are saying it isn't working reliably. So I say, fine, I'll be happy to take it back and exchange it, but doesn't staples say it's only 14 days for technology items? Well, he assures me it says 30 on the back of the receipt. Naturally, I drive 25 minutes to get there and no, it says only 14 days. I blame myself, I should have dug out one of my own and read it. Didn't think basic literacy should be questioned. And of course it was working fine at that time. So I told them it would have to go back to Belkin directly if it kept having problems and got them the number. Then 25 minutes back home. Empty handed. Wonderful.
Then I fixed the dice roller problem in the Paragon Database, distinguished between save and save as, and looked over the final pdf for any glaring errors.
Dentist time, and another hundred gone.
Perhaps in one of my three appointments tomorrow I might make some actual money? Or is that too much to ask? It's Boris, who knows. A machine that won't turn on, may be the power supply. Seeing if the dentist guy is there so I can get into his office- did I tell you that story? Went over there to see about his "full hard drive" but neither of the two people with the key was there? Maybe I did. Anyway, seeing about that, then replacing a keyboard in a laptop and taking a look at two other machines at the same place. So I'll be running around a bit tomorrow.
