2011-09-05:
Anyway, a couple of days have passed, rained when it shouldn't have, work was done, here's the highlights.
Two jobs friday, nothing serious. Went to see the poor old pup one last time before his spirit energy was released back into the lifestream. Bye old pup, you were a pretty good dog and we'll miss you. And to see grandma, who has her hard little lump of spirit energy safely shackled to her mortal form, for what I'm sure will be years and years to come.
Saturday I did a bit of cleaning, made cherry crisp and went to see the Mac lady at 3:00. I was there a bit later then expected, didn't know she wanted Lion installed, and she had things a little messed up so I got that cleaned up and Lion started. Then over to Sean's for the game, which went pretty well. My new character was the focus of the plot, and while I didn't do much but bring ladies home, it was amusing to see everyone else scramble around trying not to put too much pressure on me and either reveal my "he's dangerous" side or make me run away. They finally managed it at like one in the morning. *shakes head* sillies. Hopefully Marco lives up to his reputation for being dangerous.
Then sunday I went to buy the stuff for the driveway, some more adhesive for the solar engine, outdoor duct tape and crack sealer. Washed driveway and deck. Applied crack sealer. Hoped it wouldn't rain. Watched as crack sealer dried. Started raining. It looks like most of it survived. Sigh. Read Dresden books. Cleaned.
Then today I cut out the old berry bushes before Mom & Dad got here. Rainy, of course, so not quite as much outdoor stuff as I would have liked. We did get the trimming down, the driveway lump turned into a hole, the gutters cleaned, looks like I might need a new roof oh boy, and the rug shampooed. So left to do is seal the deck, the driveway, and a little painting. Oh, and sealing up the window on the breezeway where it looks like water is getting in because all kind of mold is growing on the wooden trim piece. Super. Read the rest of the second Dresden book from Sean, cleaned the mice, made a couple of phone calls.
So shopping tomorrow, normal stuff, and one job, installing the RAM I got friday for a guy and upgrading him to Lion. He has 10.5 so I've looked up what to change to allow the installer to run. It's a stupid text file, not anything technical that keeps 10.5->10.7 from working. Really Apple, you're going to be that way about it? Honestly? Well, too bad, you're not even getting any money for it, with your whole "we aren't selling CDs" kick, this guy has no way of getting it because he doesn't have 10.6, so he can't use the app store so he can't give you money. You lose!
Then another RAM install for wednesday, for the lady with the weird slots I wrote about last week. That's it so far. Crummy.
Well, it was a "holiday" weekend. Wow, we get through this month and it's The Big Three, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, bam bam bam, right in a row. Already.
How about that.
Game was set for this Saturday, but Whitney is moving so with Sean's bum leg I offered to help. Otherwise it probably would have been canceled. And I want to play my White Vampire!
