Am I better off? I don't know! It's run a whole bunch since I got it here! Still, a big thank you to my parents who helped me get it in here. Well, I suppose I helped them get it in here. Maybe the old one ran all the time too, it was just that weird noise that made me cognizant of it? Couldn't tell ya.

 

Kind of rainy today, finally. Did two jobs, the first was worthless, because it wasn't slow at all. And what's with that million digit password you've got there? Man, type type type type type type type type. And she was running zone alarm firewall? Uh, useless? Whatever.

 

So I went over to York, first I thought somehow two of their stupid thin client units' ethernet ports went bad simultaneously. I believed this because when I plugged in my MiniBook I got an IP address and got online. But when I plugged the unit in, it didn't even acknowledge I had done so. Weird! But then I tried another unit there and it did the same thing. So I messed with the cabling and figured out it must be the switch they're plugged into, so I've ordered them a new switch and I'll have to go back. Also awhile back their backup drive bit the dust, or at least something went wrong with it where I told them to unplug it. Kinda forgot about that, but I noticed it. It's dead all right. I tried to return it with the website, but "due to technical issues this page is unavailable" so I spent ten minutes on the phone instead. It's only four months old! Sheesh.

 

Then went over to wash Grandma's downstairs walls, I think I made a dent in the lifeform population down there. Gave them a good squirting with the water/bleach mixture, then a scrubbing with a brush, then wiped it down with a sponge. Not sure what to do about the areas I can't reach, like behind the washing machine or between the bench and the wall. And there's another crack or two that'll have to be filled in before it's painted. That place'll never be ready. Anyway, that money I made just then was really burning my pocket so I thought I would splurge on a… full tank of gas! *shakes head* 

 

Watched another episode of Robotoch, I didn't recall seeing minmei's whole naked backside in that shower scene when I watched it on TV all those years ago. Guess I'm glad I didn't skip that episode like I was planning! HA! Guess this is the uncensored version? Watched that while I got the laptop all ready I bought for Louie. So it's done. 

 

No real calls today, just annoying woman with a printer issue I can't deal with, and the guy who picked up the laptop apologizing for stealing my pen and not signing the invoice. He said he would send it to me. But what about my pen, huh mister? What about that?

 

Let's see, the day before I went to see Warren, the only man in the US still with PeoplePC dial up. Can't believe they're still in business. Anyway, his major issue was that his AVG wasn't updating. Gee, 16.5 MB over dial up? In the half hour I was there it got all of 1MB finished, so good luck.

 

Then at 3:00, got her machine hooked up from her moving. The power strip she bought fried itself after being plugged in about thirty seconds. Great manufacture there. Smelled all nice and crispy!

 

Then last to reset the password. Waited a half hour for them to show up "oh I thought it was for 5:30" no it was for 5:00. Took two minutes to do it (I see what I did wrong with the kid's laptop before, apparently win7 makes this tiny partition for some bizarre reason which the tool selected first, and I didn't realize it) A couple of other questions made up the rest of the time so I felt justified in charging the first full hour's worth of time of the day! weeeeeee.

 

Then over to get the Refrigerator.  

 

Let's see, tomorrow I do have the delivery to make of the battery and replacement RAM for the Mac guy, though he says he has a couple of other questions. So far that's it.  

 

Sean has two clots in his knee and has to get a daily shot and wear a compression device. SO FUN! So he's wishing for the progression of medical science about 100 years in the next, oh say two minutes, so he can get back to his life.
