Who could it be? Is it you?
I guess it must be me then.
Got the shopping done right quick somehow. Got to my lovely “format my time machine” a bit early. Oh, what’s that? It plugged in, started backing up, and then finished with no actual effort on my part? Super.
Went to the law firm, and actually did what I came there to do. Odd, seems like that hasn’t happened in awhile. Loaded it up with protection, the program she needed, all that good stuff. Oh, the office printer is too old and doesn’t have Win7 drivers. Oh well.
Then I dropped the system off, that was fine. Popped two keys back on in a minute or two (they said they tried for an hour, okay?) Answered a few questions, fine.
Then over to where I thought the last appointment was. At Brandon lane. Nope. Brannon lane. See the difference? There wasn’t even that number on that street, thanks a bunch Google Maps. So that wasted a half hour of driving, thanks a bunch again GM. Naturally, I just punched in the password I gave him over the phone and it worked right away, so not sure what he was doing. I did give his machine a once over, and iTunes was messed up, big time. Had to use some tricks to rip it out of there and replace it. There were other things like Adobe Reader that were also messed up in the same way, but I didn’t care about them, only iTunes, so he could use his new iPad successfully. Stupid windows.
Dinner and phone calls after that. Three calls today, the Mac guy from Friday with just a couple of questions, the next a guy who sounds like he just needs to unplug his router for a few seconds (or get a new one, he wasn’t home to see the results at the time) and the third who maybe has a real problem? A problem I can solve, for currency? He can’t open PDFs (well, he can but they open in something not a pdf reader) and he just wants it cleaned out. So at least I have that.
So it’ll probably be painting after that. Can I finish the job tomorrow? Hummmm. I do like finishing a job.
Pretty “hot” today or as I like to call it, “nice”. No rain as I was promised. Well, I tell a lie, it rained about a second. My neighbors finally cut their lawn, even the back, leaving a nice, big, brown, dry, dead patch of “grass” which looks even worse. Nicely played. And choosing the hottest day so far this year do do the deed? Well done.
