I don't think wisdom comes with age at all. You can be old and not wise, after all. Wisdom comes from the careful examination of your life and the choices you made, and the results of those choices. If you never learn anything, if you just repeat the same mistakes over and over, how can you be called wise?

 

Allergies were't so bad today, thank you. Appreciate that. Maybe yesterday I took allergy medicine instead of anti-allergy medicine. I always get those two confused, I really have to get rid of that bottle.

 

Anyway, it's was the land of twenties today, all four appointments lasted less then a half hour. Sigh. All four of them. Why even bother?

 

First up, setting up a router and removing all kinds of toolbars they had installed. He got an iPad as a gift I guess, can't imagine why. They still cling to that AOL icon for getting on the internet, isn't using an iPad like the opposite of that? I guess I'm a bit resentful, after all, you people cling to your crappy PCs for years, won't give up AOL, but a very expensive, half computer comes out and now you're an Apple customer? Really? For the same price you could have gotten a used MacBook, you know, a real computer, that you could do real work on, not just trying to browse the web on an 7" screen. With no Flash support. But whatever.

 

Then over to Jim, who really messed his email settings up somehow. Got that straightened out, got his trackpad button unstuck, easy.

 

At 12:00, a regular old cleanout. I thought it was for someone else, the street I turned down I have a customer at 359 but I wrote down 259. So as I go past I'm thinking, "well, if I got it wrong I'll just have to go back." but the person there greeted me so I guess it was there after all! HA!

 

Then back here, played oblivion for half an hour, made myself some strength clothes. I got my invisibility clothes all set [[popup:p5235782.jpg:::center:1]] (a nice matching red silk shirt, pants, hood and I forget the shoes) that gives me 100% invisibility. Then on my way out of the dungeon or ruin or whatever I switch to my green felt shirt, pants, hood and gold trimmed shoes [[popup:p5235781.jpg:(thumbnail)::center:1]] that more then double my strength from a 40 to an 90 to haul out all the loot. With the feather spells going I can carry like 600+ lbs of crap. Don't know where I put it all, but I can carry it!

 

Then out for the last half an hour trick which was me plugging in a keyboard cable. Really, you couldn't figure out that as your keyboard didn't work, it might not be plugged in anymore? Huh. Also ran some things and updated things so her super awesome Vista machine just purred along like a crash test dummy ejected from the twisted wreckage of a car being smashed to pieces in a "this is what happens when you don't wear your seat belt kids" advertisement in a third world country where the fastest obtained speed is riding a surly donkey to the market with your meager goods because your government is corrupt and there hasn't been rain for six weeks and the advertisement is a hallucination brought on by malnutrition because your eighteen kids need that crust of bread more then you do.

 

Yeah.

 

Came back home again, dinner, puttered around, and now I'm about to make phone calls. I only got three today, one to make some CDs, (woohoo) one just more questions about that loaner system I gave John (LEAVE IT ALONE) and one person that "lost mozilla" which is impossible because it's a company. I think she meant "the firefox icon" probably because she accidentally threw it away. So tomorrow should be just packed with high paying jobs.

 

And Transformers 3 which I think we are still going to. Two movies in one month? Who am I and what has been done with the real Robert?

 

Oh wait, it must be me, look at all the complaining above.

 

And the Perfect Horizon game is scheduled for Friday, and a board game party for the 4th. Hopefully my character can actually do something this week. Might be nice, who can say.
