2011-06-26:
Hey, it was the weekend or something. Huh. Let's see, Friday. After feeding everybody over there and finding the food bowl smashed up, I went to see a guy down the street from me. His machine was complaining about missing a file, but I had previously reloaded the machine by putting a new copy of XP into another folder. So I just copied the file it said it was missing over. It then blue screened. Great. Well, with two now defunct copies of windows on the machine I figured a third was a bit much, so I took it back here to backup and then format/reload. Then my only other job was just a cleanout. Visited grandma, no surprises there, and came back again. It was easier to do game here so I could take the dog out if he needed to go, so that's what we did. It went well, apart from the phalanx of angels Sean threw at us as we approached the island. Three hours later Carlita had yet to perform an active action (you know, like attacking) even though her reflexes are way above human normal and she could strike with her weapon almost three times in one second, so Sean waved our Breath Stealer around and magically ended the battle so we could get on with it. Which we did. We at least got the two sides talking to each other, Ewen got all messed up by Lucifer, and the Angel's plans, for the moment, are being allowed to proceed. Is that proper English? Huh. Technically part of that went on the next day, as we finished it up Saturday evening.
Saturday I just had the one job, what I thought was just a corrupted profile. Don't get me wrong, something like that was wrong, but the other account (and thank goodness she did have that other account) would only accept the password for certain things. Well, okay, it would accept the password for everything, but just would act like it never asked for the password at all. Weird. Managed to work around it and get it going again, because I'm awesome.
Also stopped at a garage sale, he had a dreamcast with a bunch of sports games, but he wanted $75 for that. HA. But there was also an inkjet printer there for $40 which I did pick up. I know, I know, I hate inkjet printers. But I really wanted to use Neil's Christmas present from last year but my printer can't do legal paper. But this can! So that was a pretty good deal. Set that up and made a Sailor Mercury overlay for my Xbox, finally getting to use it. Of course the software that came with it is crap. When you hit the print button it pops up a little reminder "don't forget to set the page size to legal!" but as it's some crazy app, it doesn't actually offer the Page Setup menu, so there's no way for me to actually choose the paper size. AARRGGG. So I just measured it out and put the thing where I thought it should go in photoshop. I was a tiny, tiny bit off, but I adjusted it so next time it'll be perfect. Stupid thing. Anyway, I'll also use it for printing cards and papercraft stuff, my laser printer just does not like card stock paper.
Let's see, also remade Toby, as I failed to realize he couldn't learn any skills, just skills with no other requirements (like needing a 5 in Premonition to learn Enhanced Aptitude) so he lost stuff like teleport, Enhanced Aptitude, and a couple of others, and gained Ritual Chant, Summoning and Crafting Wards to make up for it. Then he learned a couple of spirits, demons and wards and he's back in it. He did however gain the ability in the newer rules to become any other archetype through XP expenditure, so a toby "leveled up" to a 4th year student and a toby played from the start up to a fourth year student would probably be two very different people. I hope we do get to start a new Demongate high game, he's what I'm playing next for sure.
Today was the usual, cleaning, worked on a system I wanted to start last night while we were gaming but totally forgot! Whoops. Got that done. Walked the pup, I was just about to go out the door when the hotline phone rang, Mom was coming, so I told her I was just leaving and to hold off on coming a few minutes so hopefully they didn't have to wait long for pokey to get back. We took the shorter route too.
