I mean, honestly, I'm cold. Then the sun comes out and I get warm, so I take off my jacket. Then by the time I stop again, it's cloudy and I'm cold again! 

 

Been very busy these past two days, like, five each day and I've got another five tomorrow. I even had to get GAS today, usually a friday activity, because I've done so much driving. I've spent $184 on gas this month, and it's only the 18th. Sheesh. Of course, work is all piddly stuff, hardly worth mentioning. Oh, set up a wireless printer. Sort out junk from actual trash in a pile of crappy old stuff. Set up a router. Add RAM to a Mac. Deliver old piece of junk PC with hard drive from really old piece of junk PC that won't boot anymore inisde it. Listen to clicking sound and say "yup, your hard drive is dead." Change batteries in wireless mouse for machine that's "hanging". I've spent more time driving then actually working, my average job the past two days is only $20.

 

I know, I'm never satisfied. Would you be?

 

Another thing I'm not satisfied with, the motherboard I got in the mail today. Look at the difference between the replacement and the old one!

See the clip in the center? No? That's because it's BUSTED RIGHT OFF. Who was the ham fisted nimrod that disassembled this thing and thought it would be a good idea to sell it in that condition? With the clip broken, you can't affix the heatsink, so it's useless. I sent him the pictures so we'll see what he says.

 

Guess you're waiting a bit longer for your crappy PC to be fixed, lady. Sorry about that.

 

It was funny, the woman with the hard drive that was dead asked me what I would do in her situation. I told her the truth- I would never be caught using a machine that old so I would never BE in that situation.

 

of course, if my Hackintish hard drive did for some reason fail very soon, I would have a complete backup and replacing the hard drive would be no big deal, my system would be new enough I wouldn't have to ask if it was worth putting money into a machine because it wouldn't be eight years old now. Does she have a backup? Nope! Guess she wishes she had done something like that now.

 

I hate it when people ask me stuff like that. Another favorite of mine is going into a building someplace, being there for ten minutes, and then getting asked, "Is it raining outside?" How the heck should I know, stupid, I'm in here with you!!! How about asking something logical like "was it raining when you came in" or "do you think it's raining outside now". I swear, next person that asks me that I'm going to answer "I don't you, you want me to go out and look? Or did you mean when I came in?"  Weather changes quickly, people, it can be raining when I came in, and not now, and vice versa.
