That's a lotta water.
And you what else is a lot of water? People! HA!
Anyway, hope everybody had a good weekend. Friday was clean out the garage day, I arrived at 12:00 as expected but no-one was there. Well, James was there, but then he left, and then no-one was there. So I sat and ate lunch and then started carrying stuff down, and then they got back and then they were there. It was actually pretty hot up in that attic area, but I persevered, and got everything carried down and a garbage bag full of empty nuts, insulation, and mouse poop swept out of there, and it's so clean up there you could eat off the floor. Totally!
Then to Sean's for the game. They lasted longer then I thought, even had me on the ropes once if it wasn't for a card. I still can't believe it, there's no way two regular spirit hunters should be able to keep up with a fused demon, but they did. Humph. Of course Neil spent 3xp saving the one, and I killed the other while simultaneously being killed myself, so technically I beat them both. Sorta. That's what I'm going to tell myself. Still, like the Saiyajin warriors of old I'll only come back stronger then before, having analyzed that battle and worked out where I went wrong, you know I don't make the same mistakes twice. Everyone knows it, ask anyone.
Saturday was less busy then I thought, as my 11:00 called to cancel at 9:30. Sigh. So it wasn't until the afternoon my first one that wouldn't start up at all. Took the cover off, took the new power supply out of the box, then said, wait a minute. Look at these burst capacitors! There's your problem. So I brought it back here. There is a replacement on ebay so she's going to take her chance with that one. Whatever.
Then to buy a router and install it. A super cute girl was there, the very best kind to work for!
Then I sat and finished Sean's draft of "The Children of Loki" which was good, but somehow missing something. I don't know what that something is, it was good and all, but I just couldn't help but think it was missing something. It's basically the story of what happened in the Demongate high game the last few years, in book form. It was weird, seeing the characters I "met" later, with a couple of school years behind them, first coming to school and not knowing anything, and not being able to do anything. I was like, where they ever that helpless? But then I remembered Carlita's growth over the last year or two, and figured, hey, I should write a story about that!
So that's part of what I did today. I'm sure Sean's story will eventually catch up to where Carlita enters the scene, and then even later to where I took her over, but I thought it might be interesting to see her story from her perspective. So I've started writing it as though it's been years and years after the game, and she's still alive (being just a soul now, she won't age) someplace, and trying to work out if what she's done in the past is right or wrong. So I started with what spirit hunters are and everything, like she's writing for someone who doesn't know anything about the supernatural world, and got up to the point where the story really starts, she meets Ewen in the demon world. But I really have no clue what he was doing there or what happened between that time and when I came into the game, so I'll have to see if Sean has any notes. Otherwise I just make it up. I know, I should be working on the Dragon Warrior story.
Otherwise today I played some more Oblivion, cleaned and watched the rain pouring down all freaking day. There's a huge puddle out by my driveway, I'm going swimming after this.
Some calls over the weekend, so I have tomorrow afternoon booked with three. Of course my beautiful dentist appointment in the morning, yippy oh filling oh lovely oh joy. So I'll get the shopping done and head over there. Should be "fun".
And two for tuesday morning already too. So looks like it might be a busy week after all. Halfway through May, my heat turned on a little while ago, that was fun, didn't think it was that cold out.
