I spent most of the day finishing Rhapsody. As the book had no cover, I could not judge it by the cover, but it's turned out pretty good, considering I knew nothing of what I was in for when I turned to page 1. I'm to the last chapter, I believe. The evil was vanquished anyway. Then to Mom's for a yummy turkey, followed by sugar bread and frozen sugar milk! And goodies to take home? What is this, some kinda holiday? Oh wait.
Yesterday I did some cleaning, finally vacuumed the breezeway, it was pretty bad. Did one job, just a Mac user with questions. Love old people. He has a beautiful widescreen 21" display and what's his resolution? 800x600. Stretched. How can he even do something on so cramped a setting? I mean, really? Turning a 21" LCD display into a 13" CRT? Whatever. He wanted to try the better yahoo interface, but it told him he couldn't at less then 1024x768. haha. Also watched the first disk of Dexter, season 4. Still not my most-ist favoritest show, but it's okay.
Game Friday went... uh, nowhere, actually. Neil was feeling pretty ill, so we just wrapped up the end of last weeks adventure and played the end of Army of Two. Oh, and watched Bandidas. And had yummy rice and bunny cake, cake provided by me, yummy rice provided by Mizzy. Because the cookies I tried to make came out "this is not food". Too much flour maybe? It was just so freaking sticky I added a little more and a little more until I could actually do something with it, and I guess that wrecked it. Sigh. The next time we do Demongate High Sean is going to just love, love, love Carlita, what I have in mind for her to do is going to be sooooo good. *schoolgirl giggling*
And- I'm back.
Horrible day otherwise friday, I ran behind all freaking day because the first one was so slow, took me a half hour just to get it to the point I could do something, anything, with it. I HATE PCS. The video card I bought for the guy with the weird screen glitch made things worse? Within five minutes of installing it, the machine BSODed, hung, and wouldn't turn on until I unplugged it and let it sit. Super! Go call stupid dell and make them fix it. Dropped off a CD I had made and answered some questions, and that finally put me back on track, letting me reach grandma at exactly 4:00. *shakes head*
Lots of calls over the weekend. Tomorrow is booked up, and I have one friday already and one here tomorrow.
Looking into a new car radio that might play MP3s, I have 19.4 solid days worth of music in iTunes, and as I listen to music way more in my car then anywhere else, it might be nice to put the two together, perhaps? Found a really nice one for $149 that would have done the trick, but then looked into other options. Settled on a cigarette lighter adapter 1->2, the c.l. to USB adapter Stan gave me awhile back, my old iPod shuffle that's just sat here for years and an FM transmitter, all for about $25 instead. Figured that was easier then trying to install a new radio. Oh, the 1->2 thing is so I can have the GPS and the FM transmitter plugged in at that same time. So plug in the 1->2, then the USB adapter into that, stick the iPod into that, then the FM transmitter into the adapter, then the iPod and the transmitter together, then the GPS into the adapter. Hope it'll all... you know, fit right there.
Oh, and watched the newest Dr Who episode. Very mysterious! Stupid memory erasing aliens and little girls in space suits and whatever. And of course there's the cliffhanger. AArg!
What's this, two days near 70s this week? Say it's not so! Of course my weather widget shows no hint of sun the next full week, so whatever.
Bah, I'm for a stiff drink, a soft bed, and a warm woman.* Only one of these things awaits me.
Guess which one.
