2011-04-05:
Or perhaps just more whining, by me. Your choice.
Today went fine, the morning one was just a half an hour thing at the print shop, I didn't see the thing he was talking about, but I updated everything for him and that was that. Amazing how quickly people get out of date. I mean, people's software gets out of date. Yeah.
Then home, watched some Star Trek, I know I should be working on the comic maker or something.
Then out again at 2:30 for the Radison. Their "secure network" they have to use "for credit cards" is sooooo slow. I don't get it, you can take credit cards with an iPhone attachment now, why do they need a whole separate network that runs 10 minutes to download 6.58 MB of malwarebytes updates? Then there was a whole machine upstairs to clean out. More ancient password protected Norton installs I needed to rip out with my NoNAV tool. Honestly, the thing expired years ago, but it still wants that password to take it out. That all took me a little longer then I expected, so I was about 40 minutes late for the next one. Setting up a new laptop, which went fine. Got the stuff off her broken one (won't boot past the bios screen) but the HD was fine, so I'm sure if I just reload it, it will be fine. And got her all armored (as much as one can armor a window system) up and such. Home at around 7:00. Done.
Didn't have too many calls today, just a question really, but then just tonight I've gotten another three, one just minutes before 9:00, so I now have three for tomorrow and one for Thursday. So I'll keep busy. A setup of a new machine, a cleanout after that, then one I forget what they want much later.
See, that wasn't so much whining was it? Not at all. Of course, we won't see any decent temperatures this week. And I have this pile of paperwork to do from last month.
Okay, maybe a little.
