2011-03-27:
I know I was up way too late for some reason Thursday, oh right, finishing the Series 5 supernatural. So that was fine. Guess I'll just give the recap.
Work has been good, got a message about increasing my Road Runner speed to 30 Mbps up from 10 for only $20 more. My immediate thought was, wait, isn't this the company that, not a year ago now, tried to implement bandwidth caps because of "high use users"? And how Time Warner went "wah, wah, our poor network we're too cheap to upgrade, please don't use all the bandwidth you are paying for each month!" But now you want to further increase my bandwidth? What? But it's all okay, I got a letter hours later saying "whoops, our bad, it isn't actually ready in your area yet. Suckers!"
Friday, went over to the Radison as they finally paid me the $150 they owed me. Then returned a laptop I had taken to wipe the day before.
Saturday I worked on finishing the screen saver, which I did. It works pretty well, I think. Certainly as well as it did before if not a little better. He's now smarter about visiting the whole maze, but he's dumber about leaving certain dots behind. Oh well. Went at 4:00 to take care of an infected machine, it was a little more then I thought. They had a favorite of mine, the Google Redirector, where you search for something in google, click a result link, and get taken to a totally different site. Fun! Usually combofix will take care of that, but this one time it failed me (for the first time, I might add). So I poked around and found this "hitman pro" program and gave it a shot. It identified a .dll file (hi microsoft, windows still saddled with problems from the 80's? Check? Awesome, thanks bye.) but of course couldn't get rid of it. Ultimately I had to boot from Ubuntu and get rid of it that way.
So I arrived at Sean's just as Mizzy's tuna casserole came out of the oven, and despite what she thinks, it was very good so thanks again.
Then game, in which we discussed a total side plot the whole time, putting off the tournament for another time. HAHA my nefarious plan... succeeded? And we got to tell off an angel, which you don't get to do every day, you know?
Then today, a very "productive" day if you count "being productive" playing Bayonetta most of the day. I started it on "normal" difficulty, but then it just started to get on my nerves, and I dropped it down to "easy". I could have gone all the way down to "very easy" but that was a little too much I thought. It's a good enough game, but I think after playing that horrible Mario Galaxy game, and then trying the Zelda Wii game where Link auto jumps to his death (repeatedly, that's why I stopped playing that one, I kid you not), I'm kind of put off platformers. Especially platformers that kill you for not pressing a button "at the right time". The quicktime event? Yeah, that can die now. Still, I'll play through it, it's that or more FF8 metagame, right?
A solid 10 calls this weekend. So I have a pretty busy day tomorrow planned, one for tuesday and two for thursday. Not bad. Shopping of course, no surprises there I should think.
Also it was sunny, which was good. Still can't look forward to any "reasonable" temperature this week, I'm afraid. The heat engine continues to perform adequately.
Beat that cheating pokemon trainer I was stuck on, thanks to slowly witting her down in between recovery items. I say cheating because she would use a move, then switch pokemon in one action, which is normally not allowed. But somehow the "move" she was using lets her do that? Because she gave me the move when I beat her. Weird move. My electric zebra evolved into it's final form, a sort of double horned zebra. He's so cuuuuute! But not as cute as my Leopardas!
