2011-02-02:
Really. I threw an empty (not packaged for resale) tub of vanilla pudding at my garbage can. Naturally, I missed, because, well, you can't fix computers, now can you? No? Well, I can't make baskets. Anyway, sound attracts cat, who sniffs around tub. "oh, this is just delightful" he thinks as he starts cleaning the tub out.
Weird. Cat.
No snow? We got a stay of execution? Sweet!
Not too busy work wise, of course today I believed I would be snowed in, but still. Got a new machine set up for a guy, that was it. I do have a couple for tomorrow though, good old GP Land, where out in no-where vill. I love driving 80 minutes there/back. So fun! And I get to see my bestist pal Sylvia, "oh, they're stealing me blind and deaf" whatever that means. Sure they are, Sylvia. Paranoia much? So I'm putting her computer in her car as I guess she's finally moving. I hope it's really, really, really far away.
And I'm looking forward to seeing Mr. "I might have the money for the computer in May" Bruce, who I am selling a printer to he can use as a copier. We've only changed the time of the appointment, what, four times? So maybe this will be the one! Currently 11:00 on Friday. Can't wait.
Finished Dad's card today, I'm quite pleased, actually. Perhaps I'll post that after the fact too. Wrapped his gift, so I'm all ready for Friday.
Also been programming a bit. Thought I might totally redo Sprite Comic Helper, and thus far I am quite pleased with that too! Really I've just been getting certain code elements together so I know I can do the things I want to do before I start the whole thing. Can I give Comic Life a run for their money? Well, maybe not, but it is shaping up to be a lot easier.
Also played more New Vegas, getting close to the end there, finally. And I know there's still a ton of stuff I could still do in the game.
Not much gaming with Sean this week, Mizzy must be busy. Don't know if there will be regular saturday time this week.
Snowblowed the driveway today as well. Found a "minecraft" folder in my "application support" folder, but I don't ever remember playing minecraft. Weird. A search finds no other mention of the game on my system.
Oh, figured out what to do with that 8GB card. I had a leftover case for a tiny HD, and the circuit board and card fit into it perfectly. So I recreated my "drivers" folder on that. See, I used to put every driver I ever downloaded someplace so I could find it again if I needed it. But it got too big for my USB flash drive (at the time) so I put them all on DVD. But a lot of machines I work on still don't have DVD drives so that didn't work out too well. Well, I've since bought bigger flash drives, but never recreated the drivers part, mainly because I keep it locked so it can't get infected when I put it into machines. So now I can use it again, on machines without DVD drives. So there.
Hope everyone's week is going well, we're rushing pell-mell into February, (arrg, I need to to paperwork for last month) and then it'll be March! And you know what that means!
Right, time to send in my collected sales tax!
