So, here it is, click it, do it, do it now, now now now NOW!

Not bad, not bad at all. From the upper left going down is a place for upcoming events as queried from iCal.
Then comes the CPU meters and what's taking the most CPU time.
Then my uptime, used RAM and total CPU time.
Then HD info.
Then a little ditty that shows how many mails I have in the "friends" category (colloquially, "sean" as basically any mail I get from friends invariably involves him because... well, you know!) and from my mother, then the subject of anything unread in my inbox.
Then the moon phase, so I can manage my lycanthorpy.
In the middle is a picture of a water fairy/witch/elemental something that, in conjunction with Wallsaver which lets me run screensavers on the desktop and the lotsawater screen saver looks like there is a steady rain falling on the picture.
In the lower corner of that is my terminal messages. I really, really want to get rid of the stupid "apple bluetooth daemon started" that happens over and over since I cloned my iMac drive for Hackintosh, but you gotta live with some things.
In the upper right, and moving down in a calendar, the output of fortune, and a place for icons I like to have there.
Most of this made possible by geektool! I really need to give that guy money.
Every time I think about a PC user trying this I just laugh and laugh... and laugh some more. See, I was cleaning out my applications folder and saw wallsaver, and said, "crap, that's right! I can run screensavers on the desktop!" And with four processors at my command, which mostly sit there idle if I'm not ripping something or making a video, I set out to do so. Then I reordered everything to the sides. And I'm still only using a fraction of the total processor power in my machine, even with the water effect going, music playing, mail open. I LOVE OS X!
Got that stuff on ebay. Figured the external DVD-RW drive was too worthless, so that goes in the car. But the old monitor and speakers are up. Buy them, would ya?
Also went to see Lou, which turned "I can't print" into "finish typing this contract for me". *shakes head* She was doing it in publisher, for one thing. What? Totally missing the fact I left the wordpad icon right there on the desktop.
Oh yeah, he also hooked up his crappy Win98 machine rather then the very nice XP machine I got for him. "I just can't get that XP" he said. Do you remember using XP on that other machine? Didn't have any complaints there.
You know, I tried to get better at drawing for years before I finally gave up. I mean, yes, there's a point where you give up, but I don't think you've reached that point, Lou. Anyway, thank goodness he had an OCR program on there so I could do his crappy contract thing for him.
Did the tuneup after that, no problem. Then got the needed pieces for Dad's gift. Well, half of them. They came in a package of silver AND gold or white. What? And they don't tell me how many are silver and how many are gold? I really would have preferred the silver, but I don't think I would have had enough. Oh well.
The rest of the day was ebay, cleaning up my desktop, trying to get rid of that Bluetooth message (failed) downloading some other cool screensavers which proved too... energetic for the desktop. Finished Synthesis, the last Titan book, and took up Zero Sum Game, the first Typhoon Pact book.
No game this week again, sigh. Maybe he just hates us. But he does want more help on the house and there was food promised, so I guess I'll go over there anyway.
Only a couple of calls today, so I should be able to finish them up tomorrow.
