2011-01-09:
As well it should.
So Friday went fine, if by "fine" you mean "made it through the day with only slight damage to sanity" but that's only to be expected. One person with a noisy fan, but it was a laptop, so, sorry. Tuneup of two machines that were, in reality, fine, and of course let us not forget Sylvia. Sweet, sweet Sylvia. I don't know who's worse, her or Ellen. Then went to see grandma, and over to finish up the one from the day before. Gave grandma the string, the snapped string of christmas beads and a needle, we'll see how she does at restringing it. She has gotten a lot of her yellow thing done, we have no idea where she's getting the energy from, she didn't have it two weeks ago!
Saturday I just had the one, another tuneup of a machine I worked on many years ago. Coming home from that was a special treat, I got to see many, many, many snowflakes and not much else. Like, the car in front of me? Fine. Car in front of that one? Not so much. Across the bay bridge it was like, "I'm floating in the clouds!" But no real problem there thanks to Oneesan. Didn't go over to Sean's, it was not snowing by that time here, but he said it was snowing pretty bad there, so we set up the beta of skype that does multi-video chat so Neil and I could both see the whiteboard was, on the end, totally unneeded. And it's a 28 day trial, and costs money after that? Uh, why? So we'll have to find something else if it happens again. Game went fine, he just wasn't done with everything so he was a bit distracted. So we got through part of it.
I played a bit of Reach in the morning, the night before I needed four challenges but the fourth one was just impossible so I needed one freaking more to get my 16000 credits which I did! I only need like 9000 more and I'll have saved enough to get what I want.
Then of course today, I cleaned up around here, because Squeaker is always making a mess, not me. Then over to Mom's to walk the pup and pick up my earnings from the co-op- I mean the "shops on west ridge" or whatever they are calling themselves now. Then I played some Fallout 3, and got my power armor back, hurray! So the Brotherhood of Steel likes me and my current mission is to help my companion out. She's punched many robots and things for me, so I figure I owe her, so that's no problem. I got her a better robot punching arm device thing and her own set of power armor, because I'm a nice guy like that. My robot is getting his weapon upgraded, so I miss him, and his 220lb carrying capacity. And his enhanced sensors. And him too, of course!
Some calls over the weekend, so I have tomorrow booked up and one for tuesday. Or is it two? Almost done with the latest Star Trek book, so another will soon begin.
