I have semi good news. As part of some miracle, my cell phone still works. Made a call and everything. However, the battery indicator is gone and if I unplug it, zoop, there it goes.

So maybe it's just the battery that shot, amazingly enough.

I went over to Staples and stupid shack to see about buying a new battery. Staples had none. The average price for the ones at Stupid Shack was $50. I asked myself "are they made of gold inside?" They did not have the one I needed.

So I ordered one on ebay for $6.00.

Total cost. Free shipping. And they're in Manhattan, so I won't have to wait very long.

*shakes head*

Still working a treat, plugged in, so I'm hopeful.

Finger still hurts a little, I did a nice job on it, but it is healing, which is good.

Yesterday, did the shopping, then went over to install the new holtzberg system. Pulled the gigantic server out from behind his desk and replaced it with this tiny little machine. HA.  

Made candy, which is always fun. That was basically the last thing, I'm ready for christmas.

Today, stopped in to give the nursing home folks their copy of Works that had come in. Then up the street to a machine ultimately needing a new hard drive. Sigh, two hours wasted.

Then to a lady with a crossword problem. Really. Then home, lunch, finally did my paperwork for last month! Yay! Figured I should get to it, there being only 10 days left in this month.

Then out to see my bestist friend Ellen, and then back home again. No calls? Blimy. Finished the Harry Potter story, at least as much as has been written. 

Mom's Present Day tomorrow, I have no work, I'll probably go help her paint. Personally I go get my car inspected on my birthday, but whatever floats her boat and all that.
