2010-11-03:
Why this never occurred to me before is a mystery. I have a lawn mower that has a bag attachment on the back of it. I have a yard full of leaves. Why not just hook the bag up and "vacuum" the leaves up with the lawn mower? Perfect! The front I'll probably just continue to blow towards the road, the back I'll probably do this way from now on. Emptied the bag only three times.
Otherwise, replaced a busted DVD drive. Cleaned out another outlook file that was at the 2gb limit (honestly people!) oh right, that person used to work for the Landmark Society, but she now runs an in home pet sitting service. Let's see, 9 rooms, $400 a month = $3200 a month to play with dogs and cats all day? Sign me up!
One person who just needed his IE settings set back to the defaults because somehow he stopped flash stuff from loading, and questions answered. Oh right, and the weird dead laptop. Again fighting (well, for the second time anyway) with a machine with a DPC (distributed procedure calls) problem. Thought it might be a driver or something, but when I finally got XP reloaded, before even loading any drivers, the problem was there. ARRG. I've turned off the CD drive, keyboard, trackpad (it's a laptop) firewire port, nothing helps! You know what does? Linux, of course. Oh, and safe mode. Can. Not. Figure. It. Out. Not much else I can turn off. Not sure what else to do, really. I have figured out I hate windows, but I think you knew that. Pretty typical week so far, I guess. Still need to do paperwork. Sigh.
Two for today. One 10 minutes away and the lawyer's place, I guess it hangs when she prints? Hummmm.
Squeaker tore my Oliver and Company poster, probably trying to jump down off the window it's hung up under. Bad kitty!
Sold one of my PCs listed on Craigslist last night, finally. Woohoo!
Looked for a box for Sean's gift, I don't have one big enough! But I did wrap it in bubble wrap, so that's one step closer.
Thirty Six degrees out? Ugh, no thank you.
Oh, and there was some kind of election or something yesterday? I don't know.
