Sorry, I guess I've been a little over consumed with finishing DS9, which I did. Now there's a show that got better as time went on. Season 6 was my favorite by far. But I think it wrapped up okay, though the whole "magic" thing was pushing it. I mean, that was magic. She read from a black magic book, and stuff happened. That's not sci-fi, that's... the opposite of sci-fi. Oh well. So I've started in on Voyager. Pity me.

 

Hackintosh has been up and running for days now and is performing excellently. Couldn't be happier. I even got a somewhat crummy 17" LCD monitor for $15 at the ABC sale that will serve well as a second display. The 19" monitor I got is perfect. Same price, I'll be able to make some profit on that, I think. Got a bunch of other neat stuff at the sale, like a flashlight with a crank that charges a battery that lights up some LEDs so I can see what I'm screwing. Because I like the lights on when I screw, you know. A Zelda branded Gamecube for my collection. A neat little solar battery. A bunch of ethernet cables for .50 apiece. Some usb/optical mice I seem to use every once in awhile. A good older linksys router that can have custom firmware installed. Mac USB keyboard. Quite the haul! Oh, and mom got me a chair to replace my rickety one, which I am currently enjoying. It actually rolls! And parts of it are made of actual metal, not plastic, so perhaps it will last a bit longer.

 

No response to the craigslist ad for Heather's old system. Now what do I do with it? 

 

Work has been okay. Pretty busy this week. Last week there were a couple of bum appointments. One system was too far gone. One system the D: drive was getting full, just little stuff. This week's been a little better. Only two for tomorrow, but one of them is in Leroy, joy, so I get to spend an hour and a half driving there and back. I know I'm at least selling him some RAM, but his actual problem of "the keyboard stops working sometimes" doesn't fill me with hope of a resolution. 

 

Ordered a 4TB HD from Woot! and an eSATA connector for the hackintosh from newegg so it could be connected the super fast way. It was $3.00 with $3.00 shipping. When it came, it wasn't the right thing, it had the wrong connector on it, even though the text said it had the right one. So I ordered another with the right connector. I was scrounging around in the car for something, and came upon the very connector I needed, didn't even know I had one. Baka. Still, 4TB in one drive!? I'm going to use the "mirror" function to keep it at 2TB so it has a backup, but still, 4TB! I'll write it again! 4TB! The weird thing is the manufacture's website doesn't list this product as even existing. Weird.

 

Grandma day tomorrow, she was crabby that Mom was working the ABC sale this week and couldn't visit as often. Suck it up! She has her own life. Go do some activities if you want to see people, you pay the place enough to run them. 

 

Sean's birthday tomorrow, I brought his present over yesterday so he would have it when he got back, but I guess he's going to have Mizzy open it while he watches. Guy has no patience I tell ya. 

 

Game went better last week, at least something happened. 

 

My GPS is also coming in quite handy, very glad I picked it up.

 

Guess that's it for now. Maybe I'll start writing more frequently again.
