By far the majority of the time today was programming. And programing what, you crazy cat, I hear you asking?
Yet another Paragon tool! This one designed to help keep track of combat stuff, it basically... you don't care, so why should I explain it? I got it pretty well finished, that's what counts.
Got a call from my best-best-best buddy bruce. Apparently there "won't be any computers" (our current "buy date" was I think September?) because "they're" (whoever they are) "evicting me by the end of the month and having me 'locked away' in an institution." Maybe now you can finally get the help you need to get buy off that "compulsive liar" weakness and learn how to clean up after yourself. (Honestly, his so called apartment was a cesspool of filth) Or not. Whatever. In either case, you won't be missed. At least not by me.
Does that make me shallow? If you had to listen to this guy like I did, spinning fantastic tales too bizarre to be true, you too would say, no Robert, it does not. A lesser man would have walked away right at the beginning. But you're a rare breed. A rare breed of what we have yet to determine, of course.
Did my one job at 7:00, answered some questions, took off his so called antivirus (as it was a Mac) which was really dragging the machine down. Also he only had the stock 512 of RAM. Ugh. I did have another I sold him, thank goodness. He has the exact same machine as mine, and even with those changes, it still seemed kinda dragging. Of course he was still running 10.4 (what is wrong with you!!!!) so that could also be it, OS X has gotten faster every version, and he's two behind. His screen is a bit messed up too, funny brightly colored lines running from top to bottom. Hope mine doesn't start exhibiting that.
Did some reading. It was weird, I kept coming across familiar phrases like "league of peoples" and "non-sentient actions" but it wasn't until a character from another book dropped by that it clicked. I was reading a sort of sequel to "Expendable" set in the same world! Same author, same style, I'm glad I finally figured it out, I couldn't decide if I had read the book or not. But that explained it. I want a Peacock of my own! But I don't want you to have to die, Dad, to get it.
