So the day went well for the most part. Got to my morning one and set up his iPod and as I feared, an airport base station. Hate those things.

 

Came back home, checked my websites, ate lunch. Then out to the cleanout. Thought I had succeeded, but it only took me a half hour so he asked if I could look at the desktop too. Well, it was running some weird windows process I hadn't seen before taking that much CPU time, (usually it's interrupts) so I looked it up on the laptop and found, oh, google searches are being redirected. Wonderful! So I ran combofix and that seemed to take care of that. I ran Malwarebytes on the desktop in safe mode and that seemed to do the trick. At least that weird thing wasn't on top of process explorer anymore. Go me!

 

Back home. I finished up Paragon Runner in about an hour, knew it wouldn't take long to hook the buttons up. Wrote up a little piece in case Sean goes to the library to look up what he's dealing with, because I'm a think ahead kind of guy like that.

 

Sat down to supper, ate supper, started on my salad, looked over at my whiteboard. "Crap", brain said to me. "You forgot all about the dog!"

 

"You're right." I replied. Then thought better of it. "Hey, don't you mean YOU forgot all about the dog?"

"You're arguing semantics? Get going!"  

 

So I got over there and took the dog for a walk. That's when I got the six mosquito bites. Only creature on earth I truly despise. Why? Because it uses a piece of me to propagate itself, and when it does, I get itchy. Leave me alone and I'll leave you alone, that's my nindo! Petted a noisy cat who misses her people. Came back home, whew.

 

Made calls, got stuck on the phone for 40 minutes with good old Sylvia, who I guess accidentally erased all her email! Good Job! It was still all in the deleted folder, she just has to drag it all back, which of course she can't handle. After 40 minutes I said, "it's been 40 minutes. You can either hire me to come over, or work on it yourself." Honestly, people think my time is worthless. The next person I talked to, that I did at least work around her weird Word 2007 problem, I was happy to help and change nothing. The person before that with the firefox plugins hanging it up I was also happy to help and refused payment. But to expect me to stay on the phone while you try to work out how to drag an email from one folder to another? No. I don't think so.

 

Ate the rest of my salad. Got ready for tomorrow, three more jobs, which I was afraid were all over the place, but it's not as bad as I thought. Thank goodness.
