2010-05-05:
This fifth of May, de mayo day.
Basically, it went as well as it possibly could.
Ha, gotcha! You thought I was going to say it was horrible or something, didn't you? Thought I would mix it up a bit, try having a good day for once. Think I'll do it again!
My first one was just delivering a new mouse, and I found out about using the control key in conjunction with reordering file dialogs and the close box. Very strange.
This went fine so I went over to deliver the system back to the boat lady. That done, I went to see a system I was told wouldn't turn on reliably, but after reseating the RAM and the power supply, it worked fine again, so that didn't take too long.
I then stopped off to see the guy with the new iMac and give him his mail, which worked fine. I wasn't going to charge him anything, but he gave me a hour's labor anyway. Thanks!
With yet MORE time until my next real appointment I went to the hotel, they just needed their "business center" put back, stuff was all over the place. Honestly people, leave it alone! Got paid for that and the time before, so I didn't have to wait months, a whole wad of $5 bills? Uh, okay.
Came home and checked my websites. Had about 45 minutes even.
Then to the 3:00 that really did need a new power supply, which I provided, and cleaned it up a bit. Then finally to the last one, installed office, answered questions for two hours, and finally got back at 7:00. Had four calls, got a couple more, finally ate dinner, and finally I could relax.
So, yeah, the day could have gone much worse, but it didn't. Does karma now demand something of me, in which case I owe big, or is it repaying me for my being nice in the past? That's the thing with karma, you DON'T KNOW until it's OVER.
IT'S OVER!
