But it wasn't by switching, which I had already done, but by the 9:00-3:00 class on Saturday about "defensive driving". Solution: drive a tank. Wait, that's offensive driving. Wait, the best defense is a good offense! Sold! But that was most of Saturday. The rest of saturday, and part of today I was hip deep in
cappuccino. No, not the drink. I have been trying to work out a better way to put together the web based HDL character generator / database / storage that I came so close to finishing before it wouldn't save anymore and we changed the way the sheets look anyway. So I was stumbling around and came across
sproutcore. An interesting approach, but kind of hard to get started. That led me to cappuccino. PROTIP: If you're going to name something, please name it something like random letters that's impossible to pronounce but easy to search for. After all, if I do a search for "qvxpalpt tutorial" I will not get a million websites on how to make coffee, now will I? At least I hope not. Anywho, it's basically javascript that looks like objective-c (the language of choice for Mac OS X programming) plus you can use Interface Builder to help set up the... well, the interface! It's not really done yet, and the one thing I finally managed to do was a hack, but at least I'm getting the hang of it. Check out
280slides, the big project done with it. This is basically a full blown desktop app, running in your browser window. How cool is that? As cool as you can code.
And there was that episode of Dr Who I watched with Dad. And then the next episode I watched tonight.
And the work for tomorrow and tuesday I scheduled.
And I played just a little more Batman tonight.
So I guess the weekend was okay after all. How about that.
Normal stuff tomorrow morning, shopping, duh. Then 3. Two already for tuesday, which is a good sign.
Hey, Tamara turns 16 this week! She's old-old kitty now!
