How your antics amuse me!

 

So last night, playing Oblivion with my new wizard character until way too late to try and get the first holy artifact I got an invite from Mizzy to come over and watch some new movie they bought. I accepted. 

 

Then today, normal store stuff. They had a bunch of spider man stuff back in, so I picked up more of that. Went to buy cat food but kmart didn't have the 24 can set I buy so it was back to Aldi food for them this week. How do you not stock cat food?

 

My first appointment was the aforementioned ancient Mac with 16MB of RAM and a whopping 1.5GB hard drive. Sean mentioned the 2TB drive he bought for $200 today. Kinda makes one wonder. But he's just a writer, with his ancient 13" screen and creaky laser writer, so, yeah. Anyway, when he opened Word some weird message would pop up. So I'm trying stuff, and he mentions something about a font. "ah hah!" says Brain. "He could very well have stumbled into the solution!" So I take all but the system fonts out of his fonts folder and it works again! I'm on the right track? Well, I slowly put them back in, one alphabet letter group at a time until they are ALL back in... and it's still working. So, let me understand this- it's now back the way it was when I got here, but I open word 10 times in a row and it's suddenly fine? Huh? 

 

So then it's off to a cleanout. There was just the one fake anti-virus product there, and it didn't even try to fight back when I removed it. It was just like, 'yeah, okay'. But I did the normal stuff and it was fine. Heard the first of two halves of interesting phone conversations while I was there. People are... *shakes head*. I just can't understand them. I honestly can't. I will never figure them out, I swear. 

 

Then over to my 3:30 a bit early, sat and played some Final Fantasy 4 on the DS as I wasn't sure if she was home or not and 45 minutes early is a bit much. So I get out of the car and start walking up the driveway, and she pulls in. Talk about timing. She's selling her house, and I heard the second one half of a pretty interesting conversation of the day with her husband-to-be until she went out into the garage or something for a bit to possibly shout at him. It's a stressful time. Anyway, somehow her router settings got changed and her computer wasn't picking it up anymore (because it was just named WAN and there were like six other unsecured networks in the area so how would she have known?) so I got that set back up. 

 

Called Sean on the magic talky hand box that I was ready to come over and he said fine.  Talked a bit, went to subway, watched movie, checked calls, had 7 now rather then the 3 I had when I last checked, so headed home. 

 

Got home about 8:30 and sylvia calls. I knew she had messed herself up again so I figured I would quickly set her straight, but no, she's going on about how her children are robbing her now that her husband is dead, and on, and on, it's like, okay, I'm not your confidant, I don't care, I have my own issues to worry about, please stick to the computer stuff I'm not going to get paid to help you with over the phone anyway, thank you.

 

Got the rest done by 9:30, only two for tomorrow but also two for wednesday. So a little better then last week.

 

Oh, it's a full moon! That's why things are so crazy. Just realized that. Explains a lot.

 

Now if you'll excuse me, the wolf is howling to get out and growl grrr gra hoooooooowwwwwwwwwwww
