2010-03-24:
Went down to make my calls today, and there was an invoice sitting in the "future" pile... for today! AARG. Somehow it never got over to the "do tomorrow" pile last night, so it didn't get done. Fail.
So the morning one went fine, once we found where Time Warner had stuck her digital phone system (in the basement). Put the router in the same place, and bickety-bam, that was done. Went to go see Insurance Guy at 11:00, that took :45. I will enjoy the ultimate savings of money I shall achieve there.
Worked on the screensaver a bit, not sure exactly how this became the first project but there you have it. Well, okay, I tell a lie, I was watching it go around and thinking of making the little gathering guy a bit smarter, and here you are. I figured out how to put a core animation layer inside the screen saver view, so that's proceeding apace. As the maze making code is staying the same, it's just a matter of replacing the graphics code, really, so hopefully it won't be too hard.
Then I went to go give Star Wars guy his system back. He of course didn't know his router password to get the PS3 online, so I got that set up for him too. Then over to Bob's to give him a long HDMI cable that plugged into his Mac and his TV. Then home for dinner.
Three calls today, so I have three for tomorrow, of course one was the one I missed yesterday. One wants to drop off a laptop, so that's the promise of more work. Guess it's good times all round, as mom got her baby cast today, for another three weeks. I'm sure she's happy, though walking right now is still a bit painful.
Got ready for tomorrow, with the correct number of invoices. It's probably Friday of this week that'll be Sean Night, finishing up the aftermath of the attack, taking the last exams, that sort of thing. Oh, and getting that dragon his mate's treasure back from his son. (long story)
I guess things are looking up. And you know what they say, if you're looking up, you'll trip on something down near you feet you can't see. (okay, no one says that, I made it up.)
