What's weird is having to remember to actually take your keys out of the ignition when you get out of the car. It may not seem so to you, but it does to me. And remembering to put it in park? That's a big one. And when am I going to stop reaching down to shift gears? To say nothing about remembering to get keys OUT of your pocket while heading to said car. That's the kicker, I keep reaching for a key that just isn't there.
So my morning one went fine. Tried the CD she needed stuff off of in her machine and my Mac, both which didn't like it. But her blue ray player did, so I knew there was some stuff on there at least. Her son's machine read it, so that turned out okay. Came home, checked my sites. Read the rest of my owners manual. Ate lunch. Went out to Dick's down the street to check his router being plugged in right. It was.
Came back home and thought about what else I might like to add to the new site. Backed up the old sites. I had left a mess in the collection room so I cleaned that up.
Then off to my 4:00. A shining example of modern civilization, at 1.2 Ghz. What's that? My hackintosh with a 1.6Ghz processor cost me $175? And what's this? A perfectly usable laptop sitting right next to this piece of crap? And you aren't using this one… why? It was hanging, I guess, but it wasn't dusty. The heatsink was a bit warm, but I didn't think it was that bad. But I did have a slightly larger fan that would fit, so I swapped them and put it back, thinking perhaps it wasn't spinning fast enough. Then it wouldn't turn on. Huh? The light on the power supply flashed a bit when I plugged it in, and then nothing. Super. Just. Super. Have I mentioned that I hate my job?
Dinner. Bit of reading. Trapped is better then I thought originally. No calls today, oddly. I do have the one job for tomorrow. I think I'll get ready for it, in the event we play some boarderlands tonight. Otherwise, perhaps some Dead Space will call to me?
Or perhaps a banana.
