As you may have guessed, it was a valentine's day gift for my mother [[image:animalcrosspaper.jpg:Animal Crossing:center:0]] And my grandmother [[image:bearpaper.jpg:Paper Bear:center:0]] The one is from Animal Crossing, a game my mother is into now (Oh, video games are fun? Tried to tell you that twenty five years ago! :-) and the other is a bear from Canon holding a heart container piece from Zelda. Took me a couple of hours each, of course I had never done anything like this before but there are some really nice models out there, so I'll be doing more. The Animal Crossing girl didn't actually have directions, (downloaded from a japanese website) took me awhile to figure out the little numbers on the tabs actually meant something. But it worked out in the end. Had a crappy saturday for the most part, my morning one canceled, so I did another record. Then over to the first one, "oh, get me on the wireless" but when I got there, it would only show stuff on the monitor like every third time I booted it. Tried another AGP card, but it didn't work at all. I thought it was the slot, but at my next job there was a machine with a really dead video card (the fan died and overheated the thing, blowing all the capacity) and it didn't work there either, so maybe it's the card? I left her with the crappy-crap PCI video card that only wants to run at 640x480 so she can at least temporarily work, then the office wireless was mysteriously turned off. So I installed a PCI wireless card too, and was only an hour late to my 4:00. Who had the aforementioned video card thing and a laptop with a BSOD. I used the directions I got on slashdot a couple of days ago, so it seemed it was the latest update from MS that killed it. I left it with a full malwarebytes and avast scans, just in case it was a virus. So I have two places to go back to once I get some video cards in. Friday was a very easy one right before Sean's, just install some RAM. Also a lady who "had messed things up" but turned out it was her Hard Drive that had died. It was still under warranty though, so I'll send it back tomorrow. And a cleanout, which was no problem. Sean threw 14 or so demons at us in an overly complicated plot to "challenge" us, which Itachibanchu blew through in one shot (Carlita was right behind him about to do the same thing) so that I can get 100 sheets of "dragon velum", only found in the Demon World, to give to the Warder who's making the shield I want to give Ewen for his birthday. But of course it comes from actual dragon skin, and the place I wanted to buy it from was out because the guy's assistant had been murdered, and then we got to witness a dragon funeral.... it was pretty crazy. Today was the standard stuff, with some non-standard stuff like walking my parent's dog at 1:00. Two comics done. Bit of cleaning, and watching more Supernatural Season 2 which Sean lent me. Good stuff, I think a bit better then season 1. Liking it. Shopping tomorrow. Three appointments to do. Got about 10 over the weekend. Got back to most of them, have a couple spread over the next couple of days, so I don't think I'll hurt for work this week either. Just heat.
