Much of everything went slightly better then horrible today, so I am quite possibly thinking about maybe being a bit pleased. But perhaps not. So over to Jim in the morning, did some iWeb stuff he could have figured out as I've never used the program, and I figured it out. Google is your friend. Then to a slightly odd one, the first system was losing the camera, but I found if you closed the screen at about a 45ยบ angle, it would come back! So nothing I could do there. But I cleaned out another one just like it. Then to a BSOD. Which I later learned, via slashdot, was probably caused by a recent XP update (thanks Slashdot) *sarcasm* Thanks Microsoft */sarcasm* and I probably didn't need to do that repair I did. Oh well. You use windows, you pay the price, that's my theory. His price? Another $40 when I had just been there on 1/28. HAHA. While waiting for the repair to tediously complete, I worked on some sprite world characters, so the time wasn't a total loss! Then to the system I couldn't save. It would run, but then randomly die. Usually that's the power supply, but replacing it didn't help. Ran a memtest, no result. Ran some CPU tests. No result. Sigh. Dead. Good thing PCs are so cheap, if they only last two years. Then to another cleanout. Nothing too serious there, of course it was her roommate/lover (hey, you never can tell) that was there, not her, and she had "forgotten to leave her checkbook" like who carries their checkbook around with them? so we'll see if I actually get sent the check. Came home, five calls, ate dinner. Made the phone calls. I'm booked up with 4 tomorrow, one of which will be setting up the new machine for the people with the dead machine from yesterday, and three for Saturday. And Sean is tomorrow, of course. Can't forget Sean. I guess it's not Sprite World, but DgH, which I suppose is fine. But he'll pay, make no mistake. Oh, he'll pay. In case we play more borderlands tonight I'm off to get ready for tomorrow. Oh, and next entry I'll finally reveal the secret project!
