And by fun, I mean, not fun. Very not fun. But I made it, and here I am. Oh, another iPad thought occurred to me. See, apple doesn't want to make a general purpose device like a Mac in that form because the app store makes apple so much money. You might not know this, but 30% of all sales on the store go to Apple. So naturally they want you to keep buying that way, because they want that 30%. If the iPad was just a Mac, they would be denied that revenue! Anyway, over to the new office for the sandblasters. Went to the main office of a building, basically chosen at random because I had no clue which to go to (which I guess used to be occupied by Kodak) and there was a map! Further they were on the map! Wonderful. I looked at the map. I asked a guy. I was confident I knew what was going down. I started walking. And walking. And walking. Empty building. BIG, empty building. I seem, in my no direction sense sort of way, to be where I should be. No people. No computers. Weird shelf units. Empty space. Walls that need painting. No people. Finally I run into someone who says "oh, she's looking for you." No! Apparently, quickbooks 2002 + Vista + backup = nono. I signed her up for iDrive instead, 2GB of free online storage! How can you beat that? As though you were beating the prophet's shields, like a drum? Next up the mortgage place. Slow Vista machine, but I repeat myself. He had all kinds of things going. Removed. Trial version of office. Some broken version of office 2002. Removed. Running much better now. Then over to see my good friend Ellen. Who left a note on the door, "oh, I had a meeting I forgot about." Apparently she had emailed me the night before and was all like "oh, why didn't you check your email in the morning?" like it was my fault I went over there and she wasn't there. Yup, that's Elllen. So I came back here. The lawyer was trying to put in a new printer, of course I was not consulted about which printer to buy, but fine, I can hook up your crappy HP that runs six programs on boot, stresses your 1Ghz machine (hey, the same as the iPad!) to no end, and is inkjet to boot when you only do B/W legal letters. Fine! It's fine. Fine. Then down the street, another cleanout. Actually got the can't log in problem fixed, pretty proud of myself there. Updated everything. Running fine again. Then drove home. Tried to, it was bad out there. And by bad, I mean white. As in white out. Not that liquid stuff no one uses anymore, but snow, flying through the air. Making hulk angry. Ate dinner. Made some calls. Going to Ellen's tomorrow, hope she's there this time. Right now the whole morning is free. I did take delivery of a PC for a Win98 lady, probably get that checked over and maybe even go over there to deliver it. Depends on the weather. Looking forward to tonight, going to be in the single digits! I have two single digits raised, one per hand, can you guess which ones they are? No Sean's this week, he seems to have "another one of those throat-eating colds". Probably from his students. He should stop making out with them. *kidding* Make out or Make Up?
