So, shopping in the morning, found out, I think, why the money transfer didn't work. Apparently when you don't use an account for a bit it goes "inactive" and then when you DO try to use it, it gives a funky error message rather then something sane like "your account is inactive. Please see a representative." At least that's what I think, as when I put the car money into the savings today via teller and THEN asked about it, she didn't see anything about my account that would account for not being able to do it. So that's what we figured. Got more comics out of the library like a good little copyright infringer. Oh wait, what's that you say, libraries are legal? Thousands of books I can read, at no charge? Wake up, people! It's just like Limewire for words! Do you know how many others have read this copy of "The Walking Dead"? Okay, maybe it's a bad example but still, we're talking dozens! Maybe a half a dozens even! So, work, right? There was some of that, I think? Oh, right. Hit a guy with a clue bat that no, windows 7 really isn't all that different then all other versions of windows so you can pretty much keep telling yourself how you "used to" be all great with computers which we both know to be a lie, but whatever. Then my wonderful client Leslie. Had the router set up in about ten minutes, left an hour and a half later. She insists on telling me stories about her son's boy scout activities, or what is friend his like, or some problem she had with road runner a month ago, which, you know, is fine. Today was labeling everything day. So, hey, you know, you want me to stand and watch you label your cables, while you ramble on about things I have ABSOLUTELY ZERO INTEREST IN, I'm happy to charge you for every FREAKING SECOND I'm there. If I had walked in, plunked down the router and left again, I wouldn't even have charged you any labor, I don't, you know, for stuff like that. But with you, happy to take your money, and thank you for it. So just made it to my "about 4:00, maybe as late as 4:30" at 4:30 but unlike some, got in, got out in half an hour. Home! Ate dinner. Played around with my new cyan toner cartridge, so far, so good. Just need some good cardstock. Got my super awesome ceramic paper cutting dohicky also, so the secret project seems to be a go! I shall say no more! Made calls. Some guy who works for Rebath got himself infected, but as he was last to call, he was last to get called back. With four scheduled for tomorrow, and it's Webster->chili->webster->chili so THAT didn't work out very well at all, I told him earliest I could be there was First Thing Thursday. Oh, but he "has to have it" done tomorrow, so he's going to try finding someone else. Well, good luck with that, hope they don't charge you double/triple my rates. I hope he calls geek squad and they charge him like $150. And don't even solve his problem, like that last person I cleaned up after they called those clowns. That would be sweet. Dummy. There's a reason I can't get right out to you, Mr. OhSo Important, and that's because I'm BUSY. And I'm BUSY because I'm Pretty Darn Good at What I Do. I would seriously question any person/group that said, oh, yeah, we'll be right out. The question would be "why are they not out working if they're so great?" But that's just, you know, me. Would you got to a doctor who answered on the first ring? I sure wouldn't. One day doesn't seem like so much to wait, but maybe the guy who commissioned the Sistine Chapel would disagree. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow goes well, because I've got them scheduled pretty tight. And getting held up in the morning upsets the whole moral structure. Still, everything's ready for tomorrow, so as I've been invited to finish the last L4D2 level, I'm going to hop online and wait for Sean.
