So anyway, where was I the last couple of days? In a word: someplace. Some good things happened, some bad things, systems were sold, games were played, mechanical killer robot things from the demon world were slain, all in a weekends work, eh? Elsewise, today did not begin with shopping as usual because it was a "holiday" and the banks etc were closed. Don't actually need the library, I'm being loaned the second book, Shadow's Edge, so thanks Mizzy. But I do need the bank. When I try to transfer funds to the car fund ($220 total so far, woohoo! I keep that pace and maybe I can think about buying a new car in... another year or so!) the site gives me an error message. Buh Huh? So I wish to speak to someone about that. So I'll go tomorrow morning. The first apainment of this morning was a bust. A laptop I reloaded not two weeks ago would sort of hang when it was booted. The mouse would move, but you couldn't really do much. So I poke and prod, and turn things on and off, and in the end, everything is back on, and it's working fine, no explanation. None. What did I do? Who knows. But the morning was saved when I stopped off at Mom's house to see why her SD card slot on the printer wasn't working, found her transfer cable, and had a bowl of yummy soup with her for lunch. So take that, all you not having lunch with your mom people! Ha! Then back home. The medical guy place called and I had an email from someplace just down the street from there, so I called both, everyone was there, I went. But not before pulling the background picture off the system I took away from the lady I sold the system to. She wanted it cleaned off so she can maybe give it to someone. If they want the piece of junk. The email one was just unpowering her router and plugging it back in, the other was just stupid windows tricks. I did discover the system had a whopping 10GB hard drive though. How much does my iPod have? Oh, right, 16GB. Then late by 20 minutes to my 4:00. Had a very detailed list of how to scan things, which unfortunately left out an important step at the beginning, making the whole darn procedure worthless. Figured that out. Came back home. Ate dinner, had 7 phone calls to make, booked tomorrow afternoon with three and one or two for Wednesday. Found a ladybug! Right here on my desk, no less. Where did he/she come from anyway? I guess they hibernate, maybe the "warm" weather woke him up? Not sure what to do, probably put him/her on my porch or garage, not so windy there and he/she can go back to sleep. Put in a newegg order for some RAM, a new HD for medical, a router and a DVD-RW, found a mini-vga adapter on ebay for an iBook. Wrote this. Going to get ready for tomorrow and perhaps do a bit of gaming, one never knows.
