Hey, I did two comics today, finally. Looked into why my printer's Cyan cartridge has been wacky for months now but I really would like to print some nice things up and having this weird streak down the thing isn't the look I'm going for. You know Staples wants like $125 apiece for the four toner cartridges? Must have gold on the inside. At that price I'd just buy another printer! I've had this lexmark for years now, I've only needed to refill the cartridges once, and the yellow just now as I had it all apart to clean it and figured I might as well get to it. It's so odd, I turn the little wheel by hand and the cyan toner evenly coats the delivery bar. But I put it in there and it's like something is scraping the cyan off, so anything that needs blue in the picture has these white lines going down it. Very annoying. Found a new one on Ebay for $45, hope that's all it is. Otherwise it's $1.00 a sheet at Staples or buying a good inkjet just to do this stuff I want to do. I can't reveal too much, I want it to be a total surprise, but suffice to say, some impressive things have been done (that I will never match) but what I can do should be pretty spiffy anyway. What else did I do? Played Braid a half hour. Oh, and two jobs. The first was fine, just a Mac running 10.3 (shudder). An eMac at 700Mhz. Don't iPods have faster processors then that? Anyway, taken care of. The other one was the scary one. Some bizarre Vista license thing I had never seen. Managed to get on the web around the "you have to log out now" crap and from there, look it up. From IE I managed to get to the command prompt (it's called security, look into it MS) and typed a bunch of arcane gibberish while sacrificing a goat and what do you know? It worked! Then I burned the corpse of the goat and it was a "sweet savor unto the Lord". Wasn't sure I could save that one without a reload, I really wasn't.
