So saturday was a plethora of delights, as I knew it would be. I got... one system running okay. The first one at 10:30, which was basically just adding RAM anyway and messing with router settings to try and get a wii online better. It went downhill from there. The next one at 1:00 was "having trouble installing a program". Well, it's this specialized psychology software and it fails, not installing that piece itself, but rather the database part from Microsoft. With no useful information as to why, of course. Just "Yeah, it failed." Thanks. Did I mention that the Mac OS has this thing called Core Data which is basically SQL built into the OS so you don't need to install a bunch of extra stuff to use a database in your application? No? Could have sworn... Of course the company that makes said software wasn't around on a Saturday, because who works on a Saturday? No one I KNOW. So I get to back Wednesday to call them and see what's up. Then came a system that doesn't want to fail the same way every time. One time it'll beep like it's got no RAM. The next time it'll rev the fans to breakneck speed. Next time it'll boot normally for two seconds, give some "your last boot hung at [place] call dell etc" and then hang again. Guess who couldn't fix that problem either? Did you guess me? You are right! Then over to see Rita, at least I was helpful there. Got what she wanted done. Came home. Did a bit of site work for the center. Stuff. You know. Today was Mizzy present day, and it's coming along nicely. The proto-form is done, it just needs the embellishing touches. I think it'll look pretty good. That only took me the morning. Would have done a bit more but I was looking at the original and found that part of it was grey, not white, and I only had white material. Well, I have yellow, and shiny red, and some brown but no grey. But that's only one minor piece, I figure another hour, maybe two at most, and it's done. Also finished up the center website. Because I'm a moron that works on Sundays too, apparently. In my defense I also cleaned... I mean, played more Zelda. Finished the Forest Temple, learned a new battle technique, the shield attack, collected another set of tears and got the iron boots. On tap for this week is work, I have up to Wednesday afternoon booked, though thankfully I only had a total of three calls over the weekend, rather then the 8-12 I've been getting. Maybe it'll slack off a bit until the new year? Other fun is making my super awesome christmas cards (idea locked in just has to be put on paper), a birthday card, finding a system for Don, a newegg order, you know, the usual. Fun Fact: The first day of winter isn't actually until the 21st. What's all this snow doing here then? Hummmmmmmm And I just remembered I have to do some "questions" for the game. Wonder what it'll be this year? Last year was "guess the thing this is from this tiny picture". Hummmmmmmm Oh, and two comics, as usual. I think the next few will be sprites again, as they talk to Silverstreak in the timeless dimension. Then I was thinking of making the ending look like a diary entry of Serena's about what happened. So it looks like I'm not done yet! But soon it'll be piano time. Or is that just One Man's Dream?
