But I did everything else. Got more christmas presents bought, I'm nearly done! I tried to buy one thing, and they had a specialized version of it, but not the generic version of it. But as I want to modify it anyway, buying a specialized version seems rather silly to me. So that didn't get done. Oh well. Still plenty of time for that. Tried to have something printed at Staples, but apparently they are having trouble with their card reader or something, so I was standing around there awhile watching the minutes tick past until she finally gave up. Sigh. Had a $10 off card thing from the mail if I bought $100 worth of stuff. Of course I was $4.00 short. I grabbed a little flashlight thing that looked really cool for $5.00, so I got that free and $5.00 off besides. Score! So I had barely enough time to put my groceries away and have a quick lunch before I had to leave for my 12:00. I thought it wasn't booting properly, but of course no one describes things with any accuracy, so that was not the issue. What was the issue was the video driver being messed up. I reloaded it from the HP website. Messed up. Removed the driver. Reloaded. Messed up. Went to get the driver from nvidia. It said "no hardware found". I banged head on table. Removed driver again. Shut machine down. Looked at back of PC, they had BOTH the VGA and the DVI cable plugged in. *shakes head*. Removed VGA cable. Offered up as a burnt offering. Turned machine back on. Loaded nvidia driver again. Rebooted again. Finally came up right. 45 minutes of work for a stupid video driver. Amazing. Do you know how much Microsoft made in the time it took you to read that paragraph? More money then you'll ever see! But somehow they can't hire programmers that write code that keeps crazy stuff like this from happening. Go figure. My 2:00 was just to set up a router. Which I did. The other part was getting him back on Xbox live, but of course he didn't know what email address he had linked to his Live account. So we fussed around with that a bit, but he was calling them as I walked out the door. Then over to Lou's. Another ten seconds of work he struggled with for three days. But he found me a sheet of photo paper so I got my thing printed, which looks really nice so I think this custom job I'm doing on this thing I'm trying to buy will look really cool. So I took that as my payment rather then cash. Came home. Got one comic shaded and typed in. I'm so behind now. Ate dinner. Only had two actual calls, but once I started making calls, the phone did not stop ringing. Crazy. Booked all of tomorrow now and part of wednesday. And they were all clueless too. "Click on this." "I don't see it. Oh, it's right there." ugh. Couple of cleanouts tomorrow, and the next chapter in the tutorial started last week. Hopefully won't be too bad. Hey Heather! You're the only person I don't have any christmas gifts for, everyone else is done. So if you don't get me some ideas soon, you get nothing! HA! Got a second comic shaded and started to write the text in. But any minute now Sean will get home and I'll get to try the Left4Dead demo with him/neil/mizzy. So we'll see if I finish that first, or he gets home first. Current Honesty: 90%
