But only for a few minutes. It was weird, there I was, driving my merry way down 104 when ahead of me are the darkest, meanest, nastiest clouds you ever hope not to see. Slowly, the sun, which is to my left, disappears. Then this nasty, cruddy, sleet like stuff begins to fall. I get home, and in ten minutes, it's clear again. Wild.
Most everything today was of the "so, what's the trouble again?" variety. The first one was a double, two machine pretty badly off. But I got them working pretty well.
Then I stopped off to pick up a DVD of some home movies they wanted three copies of.
Then home, ate lunch, put together an enclosure for a guy (I spoke of him earlier).
Checked my web sites, penciled a comic. Went over to the lady's house who I spent time with over the phone, the printer that wasn't working from like two days ago? Came in, saw an unplugged USB cable, plugged it in, problem solved. And she said she had asked her husband about it. Oh well.
Then it was one near me, again, pretty simple. Wasn't booting, but wasn't giving me my favorite BSOD "unmountable Boot Volume" but rather it couldn't find the system directory. Running checkdisk twice sorted that out.
Came home, made those three copies so I can drop them off tomorrow. Dinner. Couple of calls today, I've booked all of tomorrow and most of Saturday. Answered more okcupid questions, I'm up to 2000 now so I figure that's enough.
Talked to Sean and Neil about revamping the damage/HP for HDL 2.0, we seemed to have some good ideas in that area.
Still leaves on my trees, so I know my grandmother will still have some. Supposed to be nice the next three days, maybe they'll all fall down by sunday and I can finish it.
Yeah, and maybe they'll all fall in the exact pattern that represents the mathematical formula for FTL travel. In other words, not bloody likely.
No Sean Friday, but indeed Saturday.
Poor Mizzy. I am not at liberty to reveal why, as it is her story to tell, not mine, but I still feel bad for her. Wish there was more I could do for her.
Bedtime now, I guess.
