 So back to work today, sadly, for need of the shinnies to buy the pointy sticks to slay the monsters to get more shinnies to buy better pointy sticks. The first one was pretty quick. Basically just straightening out a machine for a half hour after someone else messed it up for the guy. Easy peezy. I was planning on blowing the leaves around on my grandmother's lawn tomorrow, but the forecast says rain. Unlike my trees (that are oaks and stay green until the very last second) she has some walnut trees that drop really early. So they are nearly done at least. So I figured why not go over there and get that done while I had the time? That took me until 11:30. Came back here and ate lunch. Started coloring that comic I did yesterday. Left for my 1:00 which was a tune up. He had this falling apart enclosure with a 300 GB HD in it, (while his machine had only 40Gb???) which took me quite a while to get working. I'm ordering him a new one. Otherwise just a normal cleaning, really. Then over to the problem children. I didn't realize the machine had only 256 of RAM and started doing stuff, namely upgrading openoffice. Which was just crawling. I hated to stop it midstream, so I was just snoozing. Of course I only had 128MB chips of her type, I've been selling RAM a lot lately. So I'll need to order more RAM for her. And drive half an hour back over to Hilton to put it in. Oh well, it's my own fault for not having it. But then there's this "new" machine (that she didn't tell me about as I'm sitting there twitting my thumbs) that needs the HP software loaded. WHICH TOOK AN HOUR. Yes, a hour to install a PRINTER DRIVER. Didn't help that the machine took like five minutes to boot. And this is a dual core machine, much faster then my machine. Toshiba. Sucked. So the day's work ended crappy. Hey, did you know windows XP is going to be eight years old this sunday? It's growing up so fast! And windows 7 ships today, did you have your party? What do you mean, what party? I mean, come ON, it's WinDoWS 7! Yeah, I don't care either. So I left there at 5:30, and I had arrived at 2:30, an hour earlier then the 3:30 I was going to arrive (thank goodness) thinking I would get to leave early. At least I got to eat dinner at 6:00 rather then 9:00. Ate dinner. Two calls today, one which I just led the guy through. So tomorrow is buy a printer for the hotel, go to the hotel. Buy ingredients for Rice Pilaf, stop in to see durable medical guys, one at 2:00, over to grandma's, back here for game. So, kind of busy I guess. Saturday it's one at 10:30, then over to see the furniture guys ("it's making a funny noise") then to RIT at 1:00 with Rice Pilaf which I can hopefully reheat over there someplace. Hopefully having time to make the Rice Pilaf somewhere in there. Shadowrun AND the fantasy game? That means World Hoppers, Shadowrun and Fantasy all in one week? My head esplode! Last night I watched the first two episodes of Andromeda again, such a good show. Sorry, no great philosophy in this one. I've decided to put my profile (thanks for the critique, Mizzy!) on craigslist Sunday, see what kind of response I get. I'm kind of excited! But I'll probably have to move it to a pay site to get any great response. Though, you never know, my perfect girl could be checking craigslist right now. And then go see Harry Potter with my dad/mom. And there's nothing wrong with that! Current Mood: Thunderbolts and Lightning, very, very frighting!
